THANK YOU

Too many people to list, too many killer bands. Thanks to everyone for help along our Prairie Tragedy tour. Smooth sailing across the prairies, can't wait to come back...with vinyl in hand.

Thanks to our pal Clinton for shooting "Witchfinger" at our (likely) final show of 2013 last weekend at Wunderbar.

NEXT on the agenda: brand new recording with Renny Wilson for a yet-to-be-named national compilation. Stay tuned!

Wynds of Chaynge

Another groovy capture from our good pal Clinton. "Winds of Change" at the Wunderbar.

Oh hey there! Krang Tour News and More Important Business

So a funny thing happened a couple months ago. As Parker and I tried to create a Soundcloud account -- which is maddeningly connected to Google + -- we ended up getting locked out of our band gmail account.

Our new email address is krangalberta@gmail.com. Send all press, tour, cuddling inquiries there.

Now we are able to update our blog again -- our apologies to everyone who vigorously follows the coming and goings of Krang. We've got lots on the go, so listen up!

Video: Improvisation at Queen Alex

Video from the Sun Araw show at Queen Alex Hall a few weeks ago. Shot by our good pal Clinton.

Like sand through an hourglass....

Welllll howdy there! It's been a sleepy summer for Krang -- vacations, trips, unwinding in nature. We all back in the city next week, meaning it's time to start gearin' up.

Masters of our upcoming full length LP Prairie Tragedy are complete. Thanks to former Monster Magnet John McBain for his fuzzed-out wizardry. Once artwork is finished, it'll be off to the presses.

What's coming up in the near horizon, under the nearly-ending sun of Edmonton summer? Well, a few things actually:

Sept. 27 @ Wunderbar with BA Johnston

Oct 12/13 @ Up + Downtown Festival with a bunch of sweet bands and DJs

AND, we're putting the finishing touches on a November tour through the prairies. Keep tuned in to find out the whens and wheres.

Brothers from Farms

Cancelled (obviously)

Sled Island's been cancelled, for obvious reasons. On a positive note, it was great to get a gig in with the mighty Shooting Guns before all hell broke loose on the other end of the province.

Everyone's heard about the terrible flooding happening in southern Alberta. We all have friends and family that either live in Calgary or other small towns in the area. Hoping everyone remains safe.

Forty new minutes of Krang on Weird Canada

Chris Laramee, guitarist for prairie heavies Shooting Guns (and man behind the deliriously ambient Wasted Cathedral) just reviewed our latest cassette for Weird Canada.

Thanks Chris -- see you fellas at Sled Island.

Two plus two is on my mind

The snow is melted, the highways are clear, and we're rampin' up for a bunch of shows in the next couple months. We've been selected to play this year's edition of Sled Island in Calgary, June 19-22. Once we know when and where we're playing, you'll be the first to know.

If you're in Edmonton over the next couple weeks:

May 3 @ Wunderbar :: North Country Fair Fundraiser w/ McGowan Family Band and more

May 10 @ Wunderbar w/ Babysitter, the Strugglefucks

And if you're in Saskatoon on May 4, we'll be playing Amigo's with the MIGHTY Shooting Guns.

Long Time Gone: Krang + Shooting Guns | Saskatoon | May 4

Unbelievably, erm, psyched (!), about this one. If our last trip to Toon Town was any indication of the future, it'll be one hell of a night. The last time I was this excited was the first time I watched this CSNY video with Tom Jones. You can tell all the guys are just soooo stoked at the energy of Tom Jones. Steven Stills flexes his soul doo-wahh vocal charms. Not bad.

Visuals from the Cave

Two songs shot by good pal Clint from the Elevation Room Ice Cave performance. Both these tunes will be on our upcoming full-length. Enjoy!

Oooo ya damn right!

First time playing the Pawn Shop. Lots of bands making lots of loud noises. Should be a gas.

featuring

Black Mastiff
Indian Handcrafts
Hidden Towers
Krang
The Fucking Lottery

Rats Flying Planes

Hey, thank you to everyone who came out to the ICE CAVE performance at Elevation Room. The place was a disaster afterwards, but it was totally worth it. Thank you again to Erica Taylor and Jenna Turner for crafting their way to a brainy, icy psychedelic paramount!
